i think the secret is that if cauis lacks having a bride or if he’s using too much magical energy to send kouichi back it’s life-threatening. balance and order are critical and without the destined bride, that order is disturbed. i understand he wants to make everything his mom did for him not look like a waste. but at the same time he needs to understand him being alive & happy was enough for her. there a whole other world that needs him, a man that is alive and is devoted to him. he needs to stay and be happy.
