
You sound defensive. People are allowed to criticize the fiction they consume, especially queer fiction, since it isn't as mainstream as non-queer fiction and doesn't get the same widespread scrutiny. Saying, "Welp, this is just how things are. If you don't like it then leave" is an intellectually lazy way of engaging in these sorts of conversations. I agree that people who are triggered by non-con/dub-con/etc. should be careful with yaoi/BL (I even made a list of mangas where the sex is very consensual for this very reason), but that doesn't mean we shouldn't have discussions about unhealthy portrayals of consent in fiction.
