Agreed! The animal traits in him are annoying, very annoying and he's a freaking player and it really shows that he isn't somebody to trust. He just seems plain stupid, and a goffey, frivolous and flirtatious character isn't my cup of tea. Very far from it, actually.

If you mean the MC's parents, I agree with you wholeheartedly. People who have children for the sole purpose of inheriting, and cast aside those who can't, can't truly be called parents.
If you mean the Wolf Boy's parents, we never got to meet them. We can presume by his behaviour they MIGHT be indulgent, but we can't be sure unless we get to see them interact. Until I know for sure, I'll reserve my disgust for the Wolf Boy and for the author, who seems to think this should have been funny.
