The haram doesn't do anything for the story though. In my opinion it just makes it worse because they're basically forcing themselves on him. He can't even love who he wants to.

I get what your saying, but the main idea of those shows is that they ARE harems, in this show they just throw it in, it just has no need for it.
Question before i read this. I tend to find harems annoying but there are some that I still like reading as long as the harem isn't used as a way to cover up a bad plot or bad character designs (if you know what I mean), so I was just wondering the level of the harem if that makes sense. It's disappointing to read something that seems like it could be good but then turns out to be just some guy constantly surrounded by girls with big chests, that's why I'm asking rather than reading first.
