I'd really like to bring kahaku back or don't make this romance... He was a little weird but he sacrificed a lot for fushi. Mizuha is also kinda sus. Romance spoils the plot tbh, make fushi asexual or something lol

I like how no one likes any of the other successors besides kahaku. Like he killed and is messed up just like the rest of his bloodline but we forgive him just him. Must be because the author gave us more about him, emotionally and everything.

Well yeah you answered it lol. The author made him an interesting character. He didn't kill as much as them and actually treasured fushi's humanity. Plus he didn't kill to make it him miserable like Hayase, it was mainly the knocker inside of him. He considered him as his comrade, didn't sexualize fushi, and eventually fell in love with fushi no matter what form he was in

I completely agree. There was a point I was a bit sus about him, but he really showed that he was reliable and respectable. I think what really endeared me to him is when he realized he was part of the problem rather than the solution which he originally thought and then just took himself out of the equation. Many of his predecessors would have continued to be in denial or still stay with fushi. He also didn’t act like he was entitled to Fushi’s affection. Tbh the worst of their bloodline was the original girl.

Exactly I agree as well. Each predecessor had either an ulterior motive or duty to use fushi. Kahaku was initially the same but his goal wavered over time. His character crumbles when he began to view fushi as a human, wanting to eat with him and protect him while he was suffering to protect the people. Kahaku didnt care about fushi reciprocating his love whereas a Hayase and Mizuha are desperate for his affections. He literally sacrificed his own life for him. Tonari, Bon, and him are the MVPs of this story tbh
