I think he's the descendant of Theodore (the guy that became king) and that Martina cursed his Descendants with all turning into beasts at a certain age of something. Might be wrong though.

This is actually a really good possibility! When she found out about the betrayal in ch 3 she did say "i curse you". And her family is called witches, so maybe she had some powers that she didn't know about that finally revealed themselves through a curse?

You've got a point there. He died before he could leave any children (to our knowledge) so it would be weird if he had descendants. Maybe he reincarnated like the FL, but in his case maybe he reincarnated a long time before she was reincarnated? If he had children then they could be considered his descendants? Or maybe his curse has nothing to do with the FL after all.
Maybe he was cursed already before fl killed him that's why he betrayed her?
