Shin's biological parents are dead.. Remember the time Merlin found him? Shin's parents were devoured by the grizzy demonic bear thingyy.. Correct me if I'm wrong folks ╮(￣へ￣)╭
Yeah. The carriage they were riding was massacred by the bear demon and Merlin was able to meet Shin. Merlin said that the faces of both parents were ravish to complete mess.
Meanwhile, Oliver's wife and child die due to a fire that the village they "own" burned the house the two were in.
In short, Shin was found by Merlin after the Demon Grizzly killed his biological parents, and Oliver got betrayed by the people of his teritory through the false rumors and accusations that other nobles spread through-out the empire... That's that (︶ω︶)
