Mafuya has a super idolized version of Yuki In his head ;( I know Given is about moving on from previous relationships, but I don’t like how so much focus has been on Yuki. It makes it seem like Ue can’t compare

Right? Everything Ue has been doing lately is about the life Yukki left behind too. Like the song, being in Yukki's old group, being with mafuyu. Istg if mafuyu ever makes Ue cry it's on sight.

I get that feeling too. I’m kinda down with Mafuyu and Uenoyama’s current situation lol even though it’s a manga. Can’t help it. Though, try to look for stagekara and hetakuso songs. I think it’s the anime’s OST which haven’t been debuted yet. It’s like Mafuyu’s songs to Ue. This’ll help y’all to uplift your mood

Is Hatakuso a cannon song? It’s been awhile since I’ve read the manga from the beginning, but I don’t remember Mafuyu writing a song about Ue yet. But Hatakuso would be a perfect song after the current arc in the manga. A song to give Ue reassurance about their relationship

Here’s additional FYI, hetakuso is Mafuyu’s song to Ue. It discussed his/their inability to express openly what he want to say. And stagekara is a tribute to Yuki. Both songs are featured in the movie. So yeah, since I am not in Japan, I have no way to confirm it. But since it was out together with yoru ga akeru, I’m atleast half-certain ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Exactly what I think. This is a story about moving on, I know it takes time and effort, like starting music or dating Uenoyama , but as you said the story doesn't depict Mafuyu's work on moving on really well as it always include Yuki in those, like every choice he's making seems based on what he had with Yuki when he has Uenoyama. And when you think he's properly moving on, here goes drama and Yuki's flashback which I personnaly find annoying especially when Uenoyama doesn't get as much focus ...t's dragging the story in the past and is that moving on ... I don't think so. I don't mind Mafuyu thinking about Yuki but does that need a full flashback page ?
Well, the moving on story of Akihiko was handled better in my opinion, I know it's a less heavy story but at least he's vocal and actively showing that he is turning a page of his life.
(yep that's me being sceptic with given's hype but I enjoy my read more now since there's/there was (cuz I see him coming once again ugh) less of Yuki)

I agree with that. I almost hate Yuki to the point that I was thinking that he should’ve not been included in story plot. Lol. But since he adds twist to the story, so I think he’s somewhat essential. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ And to think that most of Mafuyu and Eu’s sweet moments are in extra, and it’s basically less and barely existent in manga. But I hope the movie and the upcoming volume 7 can compensate with that, i hope they can add more. Cause we need more! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
