Do y'all think that Elias was really trying to eat her and the dream about her mom was really Elias strangling (or beginning to) in her sleep?

If you think about it, it seems that way. I agree with you

Yeah.... Because after taking that form, Elias seemed to have less control over himself

I thought so too but with this new chapter how she recalled getting stabbed in the shoulder and saying it didn't hurt. I almost wanna think Ellias healed her. Like in one of the previous chapters with the cats

What if he started to strangle her but when she got stabbed he heals her because he wants to kill her... Also what if he made the illusion that her parent strangled her..

Well, according to the latest chapter, her mother did attempt to strangle her and did say those words.

I thought that too, but then I thought that it would be strange for him to kill her, cause he's put so much effort into trying to keep her alive.
Now one argument you could have is that generally he does want her alive, but that he has a dark side that doesn't.

When Elias transformed, we saw that he was a bit more temperamental than usual. Also, he did his best to stay away from her all of those days. While he say it is because of his appearance, we know he tells half the truth

Also, remember when the faerie king was harassing Elias while Chise was unconscious? He said something along the lines of "this gentleness you show for one. I wonder how long it'll last" this hints again that Elias has a side to him Chise hasn't seen that isn't so nice

Like I said, Elias may have a darker side with alternative motives. But I still think the good part of him does want to help her.

Maybe it's just me, but all these scenes with them together: they're on the cusp of innuendo. His beastly side seemed way more aggressive but I don't think he was strangling her to kill her but more to possess her, take her. That's why I think he went to go sit in the lake, to cool off. He is very, very careful not to overstep the boundaries he's placed between him and her, otherwise.

Something mysterious is brewing in these comments, that's for sure!

I never thought of it that way. It could be it, but sometimes Elias acts like a kid. I forget he's centuries old.
