They reach sexual maturity around 4 years while they're fully grown around 8.
For wolf's(which is what I'm guessing he is?) Its around 2 years till they re fully fledged adults.
If I think of it like this, it's not that horrible.
No, I believe the dog (what was his name? Airi?) grows up like an actual dog. That is why mr. bear was so confused when he woke up. Since he hibernated for only a few months but doggo grew up so much he couldn't recognize him. So for all we know mr. Bear could be like 4-5 years and doggo probs a year or so.
