If he genuinely wants her by his side, shouldn't he make her take up classes and learn?

Well that's the thing...it's Rashta's naivety to the mannerisms and mentally of high society that makes her "oh-so-charming and pure". It's what draws Sovieshu to her. So while he wants her to learn the basics, he also wants to keep her the way she is.

I understand that, but she, supposedly, should have no manners at all(frankly, she's doing better than what I'd imagine a slave capable of, so I'll give her that, at least) and when you're like that and the partner of a king, that just spells international incident.


I get him wanting to preserve her "pureness", or whatever, but in that case, he should've just kept her in the shadows instead of wanting to make her a public figure.
