He's not trusting the demon guy. He went back so he can get the information about that door. Its just that he dont have much of mental power to resist him so demon guy easily takes over on him.
Well i hope he doesnt even go near him and finds another way to get power because messing with a high priest for a powerful demon god is clearly not going well
