Why I think this revenge is totally poetic justice
-The mc was publicly out of the closet before the little bro framed him. It was just the little bro who kept his own gay orientation a secret, while taking advantage of their father's homophobia to turn him against his older bro (the mc) in order to become his new "favorite" and thus the new heir.
-The little bro showed he was not above letting his father make empty marriage proposals in public, while knowing full well he would never have any real feelings for her, if it meant decieving a woman just so he could marry her for her money and influence.
