here's my useless in-dept explanation tho:
i don't remember clearly cuz i read it quite a long time ago but
yea the ex was kinda obsessed with the seme so when he heard the news about the engagement, he committed suicide by burning himself with fire
upon seeing this, the seme becomes overjoyed with realization of how he has manipulated the ex and took control of him completely. -< im guessing it's from the guilt and the awareness of how twisted he was that he stopped taking in lovers/long term partners
