OMG EXACTLY !!!! I HAAAATE IT SO MUCH (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ (#BJalex) This is the most frustrating thing, I swear ! Every time an author do this, I'm about to throw hands lmao. I don't understand why authors want to stick in one way when they can explore all the possibilities.... Sometimes I feel like they are too stuck with stereotypes such as Uke : small guy / Seme : Big guy. And it's even more frustrating when the Seme is like "noooo way, blablabla" but they never questioned the uke in the first place... I feel like it's kinda hypocrite and even if it's supposed to be funny, it just make me frustrated and angry :')

Oh man.. I was kinda expecting that from BJ Alex since the author wants to keep Alex the ultimate seme. Also with the candle scene when DG was all turned on by the scent nooooo Alex isn’t bothered at all! He has no nostrils anymore, not affected by it at all ya know.

But with other manga’s when they are a perfect match for becoming a seke and I’m all ready but then they are like ‘I don’t want to throw my dignity away!! Boohoo’ and the only face I can make is this ._. . I think the authors think the fans will be dissapointed or something but I’m pretty sure they will gain more readers if they do the switcharoo since it‘s really rare to see. It also makes the story more realistic since most people don’t only stick to bottoming or topping.

I don’t mean to say that all manga should be seke as well, but it’s like really rare and we need more of it. And I’m not talking about them only switching once to try it out.

Tops always seem unbothered lmao actually readers want to see both parties being so turned on that they BOTH loose control with their emotions.
It's really tiresome when I see this exact scene ("my dignity bouhouu I don't want toooo") because I feel like they're really selfish and don't love the other enough to be on the receiving hand. And as I said, many oh them don't actually ask the other to bottom, they just impose it and the other go along with it. But when the uke ACTUALLY ASK the dude dare to refuse ? The audacity. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
As you said, exploring all the possibilities, would bring so much more readers, since everyone would be satisfied !! And as you said, it would be so much more realistic ! And for once it wouldn't be the damn stereotype bottom= girl / top=dude or bottom = fragile / top = manly.
Because often, this is what I feel when reading a yaoi. Some people actually like it and I respect it but it's ALWAYS this trope in almost every yaoi.
Obvisouly, some couples have such a good chemistry that they don't need to switch. But the fact that reversibility is such a no-no is clearly an issue...

Like, if you had the sexy time IRL and your partner has a stone face with no expression whatsoever, you would be concerned you aren’t pleasuring them. I don’t get why authors think people want that?? I mean that’s fine and all but as you said, we want the both of them!!

And I 100% agree with you! I fucking hate that scene like- can you not?? I get that it’s a change and you are sacrificing your butt, and it’s totally fine if they only want to top too, but that fucking excuse!! Urghhhh.. At least say something else! If you look at rankings here at mangago there isn’t really anything that is high that contains sekes. I think Dark Heaven was once high up in the ranks but I think that was the only time I saw a seke there. Heck, how many times I saw people not knowing what a seke is as well since they are only used to seeing uke and seme!

I actually never saw ukes as girls and I don’t even want to. That’s why I like to read stories about power bottoms since the uke isn’t as small as an ant and actually talks about things. Not to mention that the uke also does something instead of laying there. And indeed, it’s great for the people who like that trope but it’s getting a little exhausted when everything has it..

I guess the people in the yaoi world need to start protesting for equality, lol.
