No, the dragon was AoAo's past self. We still don't know if Ryan's past self was dragon or human. And the fact that people thought Ao Ao's past self was evil is probably due to some misunderstanding, or maybe even because Ryan's past self stole his dragon pearl, which contained his powers, to do bad things).

so Ryan is the same as the old dragon right? but if I remembered clearly there are scenes when he ya know force AO AO and it seems like he hates Ryan in the past, sooo its not mutual then???? or Ryan and his old self is different??
