I agree the plot isn't really impressive at all, but really yaoi smut isn't all that well known for good plot
Typically, what little "plot" there is is just a method of packing in new kinky situations
There are ofc some exceptions to this trend, but they are just exceptions and not the status quo

It's just porn anyways. It's just some material for masturbating so it doesn't matter. There are a lot of good yaoi and shounen ai with good plots out there.
Mm I guess so, I actually don't read it for personal entertainment but for anatomy and just drawing in general so I was hoping to see good plot line, proportions and good line work. Maybe I'm too picky cuz I draw haha.

I also like to draw and love using yaoi for reference! (Particularly cuz I struggle with drawing male figures)
But if I'm being honest, I definitely prefer reading the Boys Love genre, as it is typically more oriented towards romance and story than just smut (but it can still contain quite a few steamy scenes of course lol)
Honestly, I mostly like that BL generally portrays healthier relationships XP
