while it is illegal to drink in public, some restaurants and homes can get a special license to drink in Oman. considering that the assassin doesn't seem to be from the middle east, it is possible that they were drinking alcohol somewhere.
So it's supposed to be a islamic country but they were drinking in a bar, and a memeber of the royalty at that...hope it wasn't alcohol.
