Oh my gosh, people were informed that they were cousins/relatives. Even I saw that world in the anime and now this was really a shocking news. Especially the recent post/episode around, everyone was like " ha ha ha she is his cousin" omg whose gonna tell em (⊙…⊙ )

cousins" and others have a theory according to which "they are not related by blood, so it is legal to ship them" In fact, they are three opposing clans: Daiharu / Harudai / Daisuzue so let's hope they’ll find peace soon X)
I just gone thru some research and some peeps that read the novel (raws) have said something similar to Daisuke might have feelings for Suzue or there might be some Romance between them in the future. Key words " might be" like oh boy, I knew sht was about to get crazy
I dunno, the anime and novel are vastly different. For starters, we have the existence of Haru Kato, another main protagonist along side Daisuke, who never existed in the novel. We also heard Daisuke himself say Suzue is his relative instead when Haru asked him , Haru was even relief to hear that Suzue was not his wife in episode 4. So, I don't think it's correct to base off the anime from the novel alone
Ah well, the possibly still exists but I'd be devastated if they end up together in the anime...#HaruDai4life
Thanks a lot for the clarification! Since the anime isn't really based on the novel like you said it gives me a bit of reassurance for my ship ! I always hope to have more Haru and Daisuke moments the next episodes because my poor brain needs image stimulation to reassure myself more (=・ω・=)

Well the novel was made around 1980s and marrying cousins in Japan is legal so the novel was at the right time and mindset...
And there was no Kato Haru in the novel...
He was just added in the anime to fit the tastes of the new generation...
There was even a live action I think it was in 2006??
The plot was kinda similar and based on the nobel but the main protag was a female Kanbe...
I really love this ship but unfortunately I don't think it will be sailed! I've heard from people who have read the novel that Daisuke is married to Suzue, his "relative" in the anime (I don’t understand why the creator make her his relative in the anime and his wife in the novel it’s frustrating me), so if the anime is based on the novel, we just can probably ship Haru and Daisuke, fantasizing with these dj and pretend to not hear anything with what I just said! Sorry if I broke the mood but I just want to prevent you if something happens to this ship and avoid emotional shock for some people! However, animes and novels have different interpretations and anyone or anything can’t stop me for shipping them so I will always be loyal to this ship Plus everyone is shipping everyone so no problem with shipping them :) *to be honest I just wanna reinsure myself*
