I agree with you, why should a child have to act perfect just to recieve something as important as love? Plus, Claude (even when staying with Athy for a long time) still shows similar traits of a cruel tyrant, not to Athy, but to his subjects. I suppose I can empathise with him cuz of his past and everything, but tracing back to the mistreatement the orginal Athy recieved, its just wrong.
That being said, I still enjoy this. Athy and Claude have plenty of cute father and daughter moments and Claude learns how to truly appreciate Athy. There is going to be an event which leads to more angst but still good. Worth the try i would say!
ah omg thank u for the speedy reply. yeah im going to keep reading out of pure curiosity but i dont see this as a cute story at all. not even the cutesy moments im seeing rub me the wrong way... to me this is more unsettling than most horror stories (i’ve read my fair share) bc its treated as cute & wholesome. sorry if i sound like a hater

lol i got to ch 30 something just now & i understand why ppl enjoy this. so theres that
Lucas said that athy's daddy used black magic in order to kill his emotion and memories for athys mom. He acts that way because he's a walking talking dead man inside.
He finds athy interesting at first but gradually as time passed by, he started to love her and they're just so sweet. I wish I have a dad like him. But he lost his memories again because of athys power. She turned his time back when the black magic is still active on his body.

Claude isn't a bad person, you'll understand once you've read the full story. He has suffered more than any character (in my opinion), he's just pitiful and he really loves his daughter which is why it's so cute ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

athy only got to where she is bc its a teenager inside a 5 yr olds body. but imagine if it was a 5 y/o in a 5 y/o’s body... ik the lighthearted mc keeps it bright but its just unsettling & sad to think abt.
