Being afraid of filth is not a joking matter. I had a bad childhood and developed it, and it was really strong throughout my middle school years, it felt awful, all the kids thought it was some joke. even some friends would lay their hands on me. it was miserable, they thought me freaking out was amusing, so after a while i just pretended i was okay. It has been several years since therapy and those bad times, but I am still very compulsive about some things, like my food and I wash my hands so much that they look and feel gross. And please realize that your comments like this hurt, please realize that this is a work of fiction, please realize people actually struggle with this phobia. It is not a joke.

I deeply apologized for my comment, i seriously reflect on it. I didnt mean to actually hurt those who suffer from it or to actually make fun of them, though it was a mere joke, i am sorry.

I do have a bit of OCD as well. I wash my hands a lot. I keep rubbing alcohol and hand sanitizer everywhere. But I also keep lotion with me all the time too. Just use lotion or even body butter every time after you wash your hand or any time you feel em dry. Somebody needs to clarify my lack of understanding. Does having mysophobia makes one feel disgust towards lotions and such? I don't get how Shirotani's hands looks so horrible with all the scars and blisters.

@minorin i think all of those scars and blisters are from excessive washing you may wash hands alot but he does that like every minute so it'll differ
Besides this is fiction so the story wouldn't progress without that xD

My hands have not ever been as bad a shirotani's, but they often have some raw and dry spots. It probably depends on the person, for me I don't really mind lotions, but the thought to moisture my skin never occurs to me like the pestering thought that I need to wash my hands. I don't know if this is common with others but these seem to be my priorities. I'm the person who replied, by the way, earlier about the mysophobia.
