But most yaoi is like this and if don’t like it I’m sure you’d enjoy shounen ai much better :3 now I’m not saying that rape is ok cuz it never is but that’s just how many of these stories go, it’s fiction and that’s all, I’ve read plenty of story where it’s like this and it’s straight. Woman rapes man or man rapes woman just like here seme rapes uke or other stories where the uke rapes the seme

ik i actually enjoy smut but have this problem with both yaoi heterosexual and sometimes with yuri too.. i like a good story so i usually read shounen ai's instead same with shoujo with good character arc i'm judt honestly dissapointed because i like a good smut but its so rare to see a smut have an okay story i dont even have high expectations.. and you're right its only fiction but i'm a little disturbed with how often we see this nowdays and it doesnt even protray rape as rape i honestly wouldn't mind it if that were the case because i like fucked up dramas and realistic topics in manga but these types of mangas even romanticizes rape and that what i kg a e an issue with. i guess pırn industry and japan does this regularly but i still dont think its okay same with shota and loli mangas, thank you for trying to help me though maybe i should try to ignore these things as i cant do anything to change it but i'd be happy even if i could spread a little awareness to one person

When it comes to yaoi specifically smut area there is a lot of messed up scenarios and that’s to get the “story” moving. It doesn’t have to make sense just like wow the seme’s thing wouldn’t fit in the uke’s butt but that’s just yaoi logic. There are some good yaoi with great stories but sometimes it isn’t about the smut but the relationship, you know? Shounen ai and shoujo gives it time for the relationship to grow while when it comes to smut you’ve got to get to the point both in yaoi, yuri, and straight stories so there isn’t time for the story at times. But nonetheless I get what you mean with the whole awareness it’s good to have things out there be said out loud. I hope I don’t sound annoying （＾ω＾）
you dont sound annoying at all and you have valid points. i honestly appreciate all kinds of magas if it has a good story and writing horror, bl, coming of age,gl, adventure, drama etc. its been a while since i read a story from this site that left an impression on me though sadly but you're right that this isnt really the place for me to find that and i should appreciate it for what it is. i like yaoi even with the cliche tropes and lowkey fucked up characters but i guess this is still a bit much for me because pf how it started and i still dont enjoy that the ml's actions are justified in the story but people are going to read what they want so ill try to ignore these stuff in the future. thanks for the advice anyways the og comment was more of me sharing my opinion on the pilot so i wont deşete but it was a pleasure talking to you and you did make me consider things. hope you have a great day dude^^
honestly I agree with you! if you remember the hotel scene, yuki looked like he was guilt tripping the bottom. I felt really bad honestly, wish he had his own options. also the rape was unnecessary, the plot could’ve been different.
ikr! i honestly dont know why people have the need to have rape/forced sex scenes in their mangas. i dont think its sexy at all esspecially because i know how it feels to have someone do something sexual to you when you dont want it, even when they're your signifacent other or friend so imagine that being done to you by a stranger and you dont know how far they'll go. he's also manipuliative mentally i'd stop complaining if the manga acknowledge that that was rape but my problem is that they act like tgat was normal.:/ thanks for replying^^

I know this is several months late but I just wanted to say that good yaoi stories with no rape/manipulation or forced situations do exist, there's just so much of those so the safe ones are hard to find. There are even those that don't sacrifice the story for smut, it just takes a while to find the really good ones.
When I first started reading yaoi and met something like this I was super shocked, then I kinda got desensitized to ignore the rape and manipulation, then it started pissing me off again after I found the really good manga, so I just completely ignore them now.
this is disgusting. y'all would have hated this if it was straight. or just try to put yourself in his place. he gets raped out of nowhere he wants to run but cant and is recorded while doing that without his permision. wtf
