thats how i was before i was on my own, my husband knows i read yaoi and dosnt care. sometimes he reads it over my shoulder as well and i explain whats going on to him XD

as for me.. some of my friend really sceptic over YAOI so, I never bring the topic on the air.. not to mention my family.. ugh.. can't imagine..

I have a somewhat funny story about this. My family knows what I read now, only because I had to come out and tell them. I forgot to delete my browsing history(which was incredibly stupid of me since my father is paranoid) and dad saw it. He immediately assumed it was my brother and that he was gay (which he hates gays). My brother is actually pansexual, but to dad it's all the same, and he was trying to keep that a secret. So, to protect my brother, I told dad I read yaoi. Then I explained what it was (he thought it was gay porn) and that I also read yuri (That was really awkward to explain). I pretty much read everything. Dad was wierd around me for a while, which I was totally fine with. With it being out in the open I felt much better. Now, I'm 24 and I have a yaoi pic as my phone background. I honestly don't give a fuck who knows now.

Because I've been living alone since high school, so, FREEDOM BABY XD

Mine are not hidden but they are on the bookcases in my bedroom instead of the living room. I'm pretty open about what I read since I'm not ashamed. = )

Yep I /hide/ them, in fact they're still in my bookshelf but I put them behind my other mangas so no one can see them (unless they take my mangas without asking me and see what's behind).

I can't even imagine what my family would say if they knew, my mom would probably be surprised at first but she would be okay with it since she's open minded, friends with a lot of gay people and was invited to one of her coworker (gay)mariage few months ago (she knows I read shounen ai but she still thinks I'm too pure to read porn even though I'm 20, I'm still her baby hahaha)

But my dad and brother are stupid and homophobic so it's impossible.

I buy my yaoi cheap from the BookOff locations around me. When I do I go with friends and go shopping at other places so that my parents don't really notice the yaoi. I just put it in a stack on a table in my room and place something on top to hide the covers, no big deal.
