Why would a character be so hell-bent on killing a side-character?
Especially when said character is the main one?! Like why the f**k would she ("MC") be envious of a side character?
Plus, I'm pretty sure that our Raeliana said that to her to get a reaction. The fact that "Beatrice" gave such a huge and obvious reaction to that name, confirmed her suspicions.
So I'm not surprised that Raeliana figured it out.

hm ok, i just felt like raeli was jumping to conclusions and actually figured it out- what do you mean by, why would the mc be envious of a side character? do you mean beatrice (actual mc) being envious of raeliana (actual side character)?

yeah because in the original storyline Beatrice was the main lead and Raeliana was a side character that was supposed to be killed, aka an extremely unimportant side character.
So the fact that the Beatrice of this storyline is jealous and hell-bent on killing a mere and unimportant side character is just suspicious and then we have that witch figure who was introduced a couple chapters ago...
Plus, since forever ago, Raeliana started investigating reasons as to why Beatrice wasn't in that academy and what had happened to the original Raeliana of the original story. So, even if it was a long shot, the fact that "Beatrice" reacted like that, it's proof that our Raeliana's suspicions were right.
