It's rush I agree, "Beast with flowers" has a similar plot with ml learning how to be a good man for his beloved and figuring out his feelings, the pace is more slow but you're seeing him figuring out what he feels is -chef's kiss- *MUAAAAAAAH* , the best.
It has potential but I think the pace is too rush. That's why it's hard to get the emotions from the story.
It's a pity. It could be better.
