When Melissa put the crown on Ian and he blushed, I thought that was going to be the moment when we see his character develop.
Like, everyone around him was getting gifts from Melissa while he’s trying his best but ultimately losing, all the while feeling like he isn’t welcomed by the people he’s around. Then, as Melissa wins her final prize, the prizes of all prizes... who does she give it to?
The prince!
I thought the gesture was so damn sweet and would have held a lot of meaning, and would have been a great turning point for his character... but then he stays completely stagnant and throws out his victim card. #-.-)
Like, don’t get me wrong, this is in like my top 5. The art is beautiful, the memes top tier, and Melissa IS my favorite character of all time... but even with how much I still enjoy it, there’s just so much missed potential.
Idk like it used to be funny with how infuriating all the male “leads” were but now it’s just tiring how not even her damn BROTHER has a redeemable trait?? Like, I just want to see SOMEONE question themselves and become a 3-dimensional character... fuck this post was long, I’m sorry don’t hate me! (⊙…⊙ ) I still LOVE this manhwua, honest! It’s just that last scene with Ian really got me excited for no reason ┗( T﹏T )┛
Yeah, I saw some spoilers saying that there will be development for all 4 pieces of trash. But that not all can be recycled ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ So there is still hope.
Don't give up yet, his face at the end gives me hope that we will see at least marginal improvement. It looked like the hamster wheel in his head finally started turning (and what a fat lazy hamster he must have in there).
