It’s not a one sided romance lol they have been dating since volume 8 as in Senpai has consented to their relationship and has also been putting in work to make their relationship work. He has acknowledged their relationship and has even told Todoroki not to tell anyone about it, basically coming out to him and confirming him and Mori are dating.
In regards to Senpai showing a more romantic side, well I’m sure over the course of their relationship and many years to come, their relationship will continue changing and Senpai as well. But if youre waiting for the the series to end by him becoming a super romantic person by next volume or two, you’re probably going to be disappointed.
Senpai has said how he doesn’t really like that casual feeling and his limits on intimacy are simply different from Morinaga’s ... so it’s possible probably never. You’re essentially waiting for Senpai to become an entirely different person....
