I'm assuming he treats her well too, I mean they both grew up under sanghee so knowing how she is she most likely drilled the "equality for both sex's" into him. I think I remember reading something like her trying to train him so he doesn't have a type of patriarchal view of life. Also, the sister, the other twin, also has magic so she already has some more respect compared to the other princesses.
