The story is different from L&S is pretty good in my opinion. But the characters are pretty twisted in their own ways.

You will get a strong female lead in this one too. Maybe not as OP as Edna, but she can hold her own. As for Alex, he's a lot like Eli but without Eli's darkness. He's a bit on the "knight in shining armor" category , but he's working hard to separate from that.
The fml is BADASS too! Just as much! Bitch cut her hair all off, is on the run, and isn't taking anyone's shit! She's a total baddie imo. Maybe even more than the fml in light & shadow

I just finished reading light & shadow (and regret not reading it much earlier, was sooo goood) and fell in love with the maiin couple especially the FL who was the epitome of strong, badass female lead ever and was not annoying. So i'm really scared to read this, coz my expectations are very high but still want to love this too. So, is it worth it? (esp for those who know of the novel?)
