the biggest one being the emperor listening to what some other nobles son has to say but not talking it over with the children to see how they are truly feeling about the situation afterwards.. he just took the word of this kid for evidence and sent them off to live somewhere else. yes its an issue that the twins dont communicate enough but this was the emperors mistake.
