Chronological order would be 2 -> 1 -> 3 -> 4, cry a lot, then read the last story to soothe yourself. I like the actual chapter order though, because it lets you read Ch1 without any idea that it's going to lead anywhere at all... and then you keep going through chapters and it just gets more meaningful.
