Neither of these gentlemen was praise worthy, and while I don't like Jeff better, I do feel sorry for him. He realized he screwed up and his (ridiculously selfish and stupid) plan went south when he got drunk and was willing to step up to the plate when he though he was responsible, but it was like she said, he couldn't stand taking 2nd place to the ML in love, racing and then finding out he took second place in daddyhood too.
It's sad that he let his ego take priority over the boy who called him dad. He was 1st place in the boy's eyes, but he probably never thought of that, or if he did it just wasn't enough. He put himself in a no-win mindset and couldn't see his way out. It was a selfish decision, but I can't say I didn't sympathize with him.
Is it bad that I liked Jeff more than ML?
