Honestly from what we saw in the ending I don't blame them. From what we saw, Kyo still treats Misao like a teenage girl while he treated his own son as if he was just a nuisance....who knows what happened over the years they raised him.

it hurt a little to have sou talk about misao like that in the 2019 update. have some respect for her, shes so strong and one of my favorite heroines. still one of my favorite mangas ever.(▰˘◡˘▰)
