Okay so this isn’t bad compared to other Chinese manwhas but the female lead is still a fairly weak character. She’s putting up with the grandmothers shit for what? I get that she wants her son to have a good life but regardless why does she need to accept being disrespected against? And who falls for some guy who acts like an asshole and doesn’t bother to consider how she was also a victim when they slept together. When she had those flashbacks it seems more to me like she was raped and then blamed for the whole ordeal just because of her shitty stepmother. The villainess/antagonist female doesn’t seem that bad though, I hope she isn’t the type to be scheming and pull some wicked shit on the female lead bc right now she’s not that bad of a person.
