thing is, a lot of mangas are just as long as this one is. 4-5 chapters. and they're able to tell amazing stories in just that timeframe. this one doesn't need to be a series, it just didn't need to zoom through all the important plot points. that's the reason why some people didn't find it as impactful.
I am aware that most single volume manga have the same amount of chapters, I was referring to people talking about how they feel like the story was setting them up for a detailed universe, because I didn't feel that at all. If you feel that it's rushed then I'm not going to tell you not to feel that way. *I* feel that we saw everything we needed to see, all without the dramatics most bl put their readers through
I get why people think it's too fast and rushed but some stories are meant to be short. Not all stories need to be told as a series, and I feel this was most impactful the way it was. Some stories go on for many chapters and too many things start happening and the plot or message gets lost. Some of the best stories are told in a few pages imo.
