Annie is smart, and she learned and picked up a lot of things from Aria, so she genuinely idolizes her in a way that she also knows she can benefit the most being on her side rather than betraying her.
Aria knows Annie is using her, Annie knows Aria is also using her-- but both are benefiting so it's a win-win scenario.
Annie was full with greed and evil to begin with. Aria picked her because of that, because Annie wasn't happy with her status and her situation and wanted more and more: she wanted jewels and a title since the beginning, I don't get why she's being idealized. Yet, cause she knows where the winners stand and stand alongside with her, she will get a better life and she will at least believe that she loves her future husband deeply (from reading the novel I not even once believed she truly loved him. I agree with Aria, Annie just love the idea of having a better life)
I am worried about Annie. Her desperation might be her downfall, I hope she can truly find mutual love with a good man that has good social status too. I don’t want Annie to end up an evil woman but at this rate...
