About your firstly. Can I bring in an example? Some women has embraced a term that is a sexist slur and it is quite damaging to them. The term I am referring to is Bitch, hoe is another one.

A bitch is:
1. a female dog, wolf, fox, or otter.
2. INFORMAL
a difficult or unpleasant situation or thing.
1. express displeasure; grumble.

The negative slur, actually has two meanings.

Bitch, is a pejorative slang word for a person who is belligerent, unreasonable, malicious, controlling, aggressive, or dominant.
bitch also could mean its polar opposite and derogatory term for a subordinate, weak, or cowardly.


However, there are some that embraces it.

But in the true meaning of the word, women are not female dogs, wolves, foxes, or otters.

Why embrace something that is meant to be an insult and sexist slur? It does not change anything. It just evolve with a new meaning but the derogatory term remains.

Yaoi meant originally, there is no climax, no point, no meaning in gay content. It was derogatory and homophobic. Yaoi started with people slamming gay content of their favorite characters in dojinshis. There is no climax, no point, or no meaning to have Naruto and sasuke has a gay couple in a dojinshi.

Fujoshi, Fudanshi, Yaoi seems to evolve with new meanings but they originally were derogatory. It is just widely accepted without people knowing the negativity meanings. Because when they enter this world, they are told a Fujoshi/fudanshi are people who read gay content. And Yaoi is gay content with smut scenes. However, the term Bitch has been around a long time and people knows, it is a sexist slur.
