I often think that the Japanese take on various holidays is too romance-centric. It seems lonely to me that you only spend Christmas with just your boy/girlfriend or whathaveyou instead of your entire family. Valentine's day makes more sense as a romance-centric holiday, but even so, it's sad that it's girls only thing. My experience with Valentine's day is everyone giving everyone something, even if it's just a small card. The point is that you're showing you appreciation for all of you're loved ones.... Am I alone on this? It seems much too lonely for me.
