It is. I didn't have a full blown stalker but my abusive ex kept leaving "presents" on my doorstep and calling my phone drunk to spout pseudo-philosophical nonsense about missing me and wanting our time back. I actually dread Christmas, my birthday, and Valentines day because there's almost always something left on my doorstep around those time of the year.
He sent me a stuffed penguin in the mail randomly one time under one of my childhood friends' name. When I called my friend snd found out he didn't send me anything, I took a kitchen knife and dissected the penguin thoroughly. I was so scared there was something inside, like a camera.
I had to file a police report in an attempt to make him stop. Christmas is coming up and I'm terrified.
I'm doing better(?).
Three years ago, I would have broken down, had a panic attack, and hid in my house refusing to leave for days while keeping an eye and ear out for people outside my house.
Last year, he left some huge sunflowers on my doorstep on Valentines day. I just took a picture and threw that shit in the dumpster on my way to work. On my lunch break, I wrote down everything he sent me and when he sent it. And then on my way home, I stopped by the police station to file a harassment report.
I was so proud of myself for not breaking down and acting like a crazy person.
Nope. He got a new cellphone and tried texting me about two weeks ago. He was silent on Christmas but my bday is coming and just like a fucking turd stuck in the soles of my shoes, he texted me, asking for forgiveness and pretending he will be understanding if I don't want to talk to him. I left him on read.
Considering he's most likely 31 now, no. His mother didn't give a crap back then, she ain't gonna give a crap now. One thing I've learned is that parents are usually illogical and fucking dumbasses when it comes to their children. She blamed me for him becoming an obsessive fool and called me a diseased Asian slut who needs to be deported to China and be tortured. I'm not even from China.
Actually with stalkers, no contact is the best way to get rid of them. Flaunting your happiness in front of them will only encourage them to continue to stalk you.
If you have a stalker, quietly log his activities on paper, store anything he leaves you as gifts, DO NOT engage, and head straight for the police with the evidence.
Well this is cute and all, but im for sure not want this to happen in real life. Real life stalker is crazy
