I understand your point but as along the author intends for the main to end up romantically involved it romanticizes the plot by default. Because if you use the events as only a catalyst for their “love” you suggest these events is their “love story”. KS made no attempts at this it’s the readers who imposed this idea onto the plot simply because it had gay elements. Even the author has on record said KS isn’t even really a BL it just has elements of queer sex so it automatically gets grouped into BL by default. Hence why the ending of Ks leaves no room for doubt Sangwoo and Bum are not meant to be together the relationship to one another is purely psychological not romantic or even should suggest that

Seeing from a psychological thriller point of view he could simply end up with stockholm syndrome which honestly i would accept as a fair ending in a case like this
Or he decides to stay together with the seme just because of guilt as he did jump off a building in front of his eyes as well as he was the reason he attempted suicide so these factors alongside the old memories that they share can turn into a reason for him to continue staying with him
Honestly i get it why people are rating it badly but like it is psychological and they didn't romanticized rape they showed it as a criminal offence so i am not that bothered by it
Yes the rape is definitely wrong but it is psychological and yandere type and i feel if you see this as a dark manga like killing stalking then you at mind it and might actually enjoy it
