Actually the bad pacing and weird conversations are like that from the start. Like that's exactly how the author wrote this. In other languages they have the same problems.
The translation is off which can add to the weirdness factor and it not making sense. Even the translator confirmed this.
the person who replied to you IS the translator haha. they're right, it was actually written like that by the author. i just proofread it, and didn't try changing up the literal translations enough. if the whole thing was translated exactly as it was written, you'd probably understand the manhwa even less lmao. all different language translations of this story have the same problems. people couldn't quite grasp the original version (korean) too. i'm trying my best to make it make sense, but it's hard to do that without changing the author's original writing that much.
the only chapter i can say truly had off translations, was 6 (we'll fix that one soon).
I thought you were the translator lol. I have read the Korean version and I personally didn’t have issues. It made sense and had flow. Some translations are done better than others, based on so many webtoons and mangas I have read. It comes down to fluency as well.
you're right, a lot of stuff can get lost in translation. if something makes sense in one language, chances are, it might not make sense in another. i think that's usually the biggest issue when it comes to translating lmao.
Translating seems very difficult. I can understand why and how things can get lost in translation. Especially when comparing Eastern and Western languages.
The translator is doing the best they can. I understand that it’s not lezhin level but I think that’s where the disconnect is coming from for some people.
