Artists must have freedom. If you put a ceiling on what they can do, you end up with the collective communist art or the art under Mao. I don’t know what you don’t get about just because they’re artist doesn’t mean they get a free pass from criticism. And while you are attack my arguments you have made not one argument or actually responded to my arguments just pivoting. Artist in Japan have freedom. No one is calling for that freedom to be taken away. What we are calling for is for people to recognize that some of the work that artists produce is harmful to the readers and the people they’re representing in their stories. It is within my free speech to criticize these authors. They are not some children who are unable to recognize when harm is done and they probably know that these tropes are damaging. Stop coddling them. They are full grown adults who need to take responsibility for their actions.

This calls for restrictions whether you want to acknowledge it or not. You're not an artist but the enemy of artists. The battle cry against artists you're trying to raise has already been fought through history. I’m calling for more people to recognize the harm and for people to CRITICIZE them so maybe us readers can get better stories. No one is hurting the creators rights when if they release a badly done story no one reads it. That’s all on them. and it can help produce better and innovative stories. No one is trying to erode anyone’s freedoms. Criticism does not erode your freedom. Instead what it does is to encourage artist to make better stories and artwork. Is it eroding a director’s freedoms when they make a bad movie and people criticize it? No. So why is it any different for people who write bad manga?
