As you said though, he immediately realized what he had done and took immediate steps to fix it, even though he was already sure he would never get her back and didn't yet know about his daughter. Now THAT is someone facing their problems head on for all the RIGHT reasons, instead of just making the redemption dependent on other people's actions and reactions.

Definitely one of the better Harlequin manga. Both the ML and the FL were decent people, and fleshed out characters instead of one dimensional stereotypes. The ML realized what his wife had gone through, and didn't demand anything of her. He treated her with respect and empathy throughout the story. His redemption and happiness was deserved, unlike that of so many Harlequin characters.
