Too melodramatic. Almost hollywoodish..

Well, yes, it was. I still kind of enjoyed it, though. I guess I'm a sucker for someone overcoming cynicism. She didn't really blame her father for leaving, since he had been cheated on time and again, but it was kind of uncaring of him to leave on Christmas Day. How could it NOT affect his teenage daughter; especially as he was leaving her with her "wonderful" mother.
