A couple years back I read this manga(webtoon?). It was about this boy who was one of the best high magicians of a certain guild (and was send out to protect people on missions while wearing a mask) but was an undercover student. At some point they found this demon? chained underneath the capital? I remember the mc being able to do some flying stuff? Anyways the manga had a lot of chapters and the cover looked dark violet
