Not quite, it's the other way around. All "babies" are originally female. Female eggs are all girls, the sperm of the men carries the X chromosomes that suppresses the female gene and creates the male parts in other words a boy.
Oops meant Y chromosomes. Female only carry X chromosomes and make carries both X and Y.
