This story messes with your head and not in the good way.
A mentally Ill girl, who is very attached to her sister suffers from paranoia, hallucinations, panick attacks and is very impulsive. She has nightmares of an androgynous gendered person from a kids tale that will eat her if she goes to the washroom alone.
Her sister responds better to what she tells her, while her parents react badly, so she feels closer to her sister. When her sister gets married she feels very insecure, who will be on the lookout for her when she goes to the bathroom? Who will understand how she thinks? Her parents would send her to a psychiatric hospital but dont want her sisters in laws to hear about insanity running in the family or it may ruin her wedding.
The mentally ill girl wants to find a closeted gay man to marry so she can be helpful and have a place in the world. Her friend decided to get her brother to pretend to be gay and married the mentally I'll girl. Her friend also asks the gay man she likes to pretend to be her brothers boyfriend, to help her friend and to be able to spend time with the guy she likes.
The gay man's real lover, a teacher gets upset and beats him when he finds out he has been "cheated on",the beatings get more intense when the mentally ill girl's friend, cross dresses as her brother to spend time with the gay man.
When the mentally ill girl finds out he isnt gay she leaves and moves in with the gay teacher, who takes her in to get revenge on the guy who "stole his lover away". While drunk her gets rough with her and she stabs him and runs away.
During this the friends brother and the mentally I'll girl realize they have feelings for each other but it's very subtle. While the sister's crush breaks up with the teacher and leaves to start his life elsewhere.
And in the end someone tries to convince her her wanting to be a gay man by becoming her was actually because she has incestuous feelings for her brother and she nearly beileved it before yelling NOOO I like the gay guy
