I liked you comment, but we also need to realize that he doesn’t know Yanagi is gay, and he’s just being a nice person & superior, if being nice it’s considered as giving someone hopes then we should always be rude to everyone... And that’s not it, even if Yanagi has his hopes up he doesn’t have the right to touch Naruse without his permision
