Well yeah, I bet that would be a huge shocking, but ideally that's a good concept~

I mean maybe* they wouldnt actually be in love after they learned they are the opposite gender, sadly. But yeah thats why fiction exists :] and I only Said maybe dont get me wrong

In fact what I like is that they change their original taste for the opposite sex.
For example, here, the senpai is clearly heterosexual. So there is no way he could be disappointed in knowing that the guy he fell in love with is a girl. Of course he would be surprised at the beginning, but he would be happy.

The shocking part would be realizing that he fell for a guy. And that's what I like. The thought that the senpai comes to like the protagonist despite she pretending to be a dude. So, technically, the senpai ignored his sexual tendency and was ready to have a relationship with a guy because he sincerely fell in love with him (her).

I hope I conveyed my thought properly. I know it's a bit complex ╥﹏╥

It's okay, I know you didn't mean to be offensive or something like that. ^^ That's why I tried to explain my point of view. Of courses that is only my thought and my preference in stories. Everyone is different so they might like it or not.
