I think most sport genre mangas have the same theme the protagonist is usually very passionate and starts out alone take a look at Whistle! if you haven't yet.
hmm. not that you mention it... it kinda does! Except Akira is a less hyperactive childish version of Hinata. However they are both very outgoing, passionate and naive characters.
and yui... is a more emotional, less temper version of Kageyama. lol
This reminds me of Haikyuu!!
